The overall operations of Hales Corners Police Department are overseen by the Police and Fire Commission.  The commission holds “Optional Powers” as defined by Wisconsin State Statutes 62.13 which provides the members with direct supervisory powers of both the Police and Fire Departments.  The commission works cooperatively with the Police and Fire Chiefs to achieve our mission of providing the public with the best public safety services possible.  Police and Fire Commission members are appointed by the Village President for five year terms and confirmed by the Village Board of Trustees.  The monthly Commission meetings are open to the public.
