“NOT GUILTY” PLEA

IN PERSON: You appear on the court date indicated on your citation and enter your NOT GUILTY plea. At that time the court will schedule your case for trial and advise you of the trial date and time.
BY MAIL: You may enter a NOT GUILTY plea via mail before the cour date on the citaiton.  Upon receipt of your plea, the court will send you, via regular US mail, your cour date and time for trial.

“GUILTY” or
“NO-CONTEST” PLEA

IN PERSON: You may appear in court on the date and time indicated on your citation to personally enter your plea with the court.  The court will rule on your plea, assess a forfeiture if applicable, and upon request grant you time to pay.
BY MAIL: You may submit your plea of Guilty or No-Contest via mail along with a check or money order for the amount due. This must be received on or before the court date indicated on your citation. Master Charge, Visa and cash payments may be made at the Hales Corners Police Department at the below address:

VILLAGE PROSECUTOR: Should you wish to consult with the Village Prosecutor, you should appear at the above address on the court date indicated on your citation. TheVillage Prosecutor begins seeing defendants at approximately 5:30pm on a first come, first serve basis. Please sign up at the dispatch window.

Should your citation be marked “MUST APPEAR” you are required to appear in court on the date and time indicated on your citaiton.
